Focusing Introductory Workshop II: Welcoming the Felt Sense

What wants to be known ?

We can cultivate a very particular way of relating to the self that strengthens our ability to welcome and be present with the emergence of meaning in our own experience and that of another.

The Felt Sense is a title given to this something that can emerge from within us filled with an understanding of not just how something is but how it can move forward. How it wants to progress, resolve, unfold…..live.

This may sound pretty high concept but it is a practice that lies at the core of many cultures throughout history. The ability to listen and welcome in a very particular way that allows something that was not yet known to come into consciousness , into focus.

I believe we all have the innate ability to practice this, that it is part of being human. The only thing required is our willingness and our attention. So the question becomes are we interested to welcome our experience just as it is ? Listening within in such a way that something that was not yet known can unfold into our awareness. So that we can be guided, informed, blessed by the wisdom and the living process that runs through us all.

How can I welcome the Felt sense ?

What can I do when It emerges ?

How can I hold this space for another to explore ?
