How to Introduce Yourself to a Spirit - A Practical Guide to Spirit Encounters

How to Introduce Yourself to a Spirit - A Practical Guide to Spirit Encounters.

“… share (sic) patterns of knowledge and ways of thinking that will help trigger the ancestral knowledge hidden inside. The assistance people need is not learning about Aboriginal Knowledge but in remembering their own.”

— Yunkaporta. Sand Talk (2020)

It is my understanding that spirit shows up in a practical way, like relatives to a reunion – upon invitation and with something to share. What can we do to prepare ourselves for these pivotal moments? How do we get there? What can we do when we arrive? And perhaps most importantly – How do we get back ?

Over eight weeks we will explore techniques that offer us resource and inspiration for safer and stronger explorations of the self and spirit. The approach to this work together will be primarily from a practical perspective. What can we do, learn, share, understand, experience and practice that brings more knowledge, safety and support to our journeys toward spirit?

These are the encounters that lie at the core of our experience as human beings and as civilizations. By strengthening our connections to spirit in a simple and practical way we can reclaim and nurture these fundamental connections for ourselves and our society. Bringing the scared experience and wisdom into our waking lives so that we carry it with us every step we make.

The work will be presented in a straight forward way that offers tools and practice to better support all encounters on our path. It is based on my study of medicine traditions in the mountains of southern Columbia and the deep jungles of the Amazones . As well as the philosophies and techniques of Eugene Gendlin.

Experience with Medicine Ceremony is not mandatory.

The work is offered in person in English in small groups over the Autumn. There will be no imbibing of medicine during the workshops.
